Allow me to introduce renowned spirits educator and mixologist, Danny Ronen. In honor of our 50th birthday, Danny (pronounced DAH-nee) has cordially (as in "cordial", get-it?) agreed to visit Timber Cove Inn on Saturday June 29th from 3:00-5:00 to share the history of vintage cocktails from the swingin' 60's through today's stylish creations.
For more than a decade, Danny has been studying, concocting and working diligently in the food and beverage trade. In 2001, he launched DC Spirits, a premier food, wine and spirits educational organization. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as: spirit sustainability, craft spirit quality and profitability, product development and organic/fair trade practices. Danny has been brand building and developing strategies for clients such as Diageo, Moet-Hennessy, Pernod-Ricard, Campari, Heaven Hill, Plymouth, Beefeater, Java Juice, Cynar, and Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal. Busy guy!
When he is not educating, Danny is also a prolific writer, photographer and cocktail creator, whose creations have been seen in such notable publications as the NY Times, Vanity Fair, SF Chronicle, Imbibe, Sunset, and Tasting Panel. And over the next few weeks we may be able to coax a few recipes out of him as a guest blogger so STAY TUNED!
Danny can often be found creating masterful cocktails in a bar/restaurant/lab near you, but know you can meet him personally at Timber Cove Inn on June 29th. Wear your favorite "Mad Men" style attire and you might even impress the bartender.
