DAY ONE: Explore some of Sonoma County's excellent vineyards and wineries by going on a wine tasting tour. Fort Ross Vineyard just opened a lovely new tasting room with a view of the forest AND ocean. Just 15 minutes from Timber Cove Inn. You can also head southeast toward Santa Rosa and the town of Sonoma or northeast toward Healdsburg and the Russian River Valley. With so many different microclimates, each vineyard offers a unique variety of wines for you to sample. Then head back to Alexander’s for dinner where you can enjoy another glass of a local Sonoma County wine while overlooking the ocean, and try the Racer-5 IPA baby back ribs—another nod to the local producers we love here on the Sonoma Coast.

DAY TWO: Consider exploring some of the region's parks to get a sense of the true Californian wilderness. Go for a nature walk or hike through Salt Point State Park, Sonoma Coast State Park or Austin Creek State Recreational Area. Here you'll discover redwoods, coves, mountains, birds, pygmy forests and much more. Or, just south of the Inn is Fort Ross State Park with the fully restored Fort Ross, which was the first Russian colony in North America.

DAY THREE: Get out on the water! Experience the magnificent Californian coast with a picnic on the beach. After that, try out sea kayaking, scuba diving or fishing. Then after a long day out in the sun, settle in at our signature restaurant Alexander's for a scrumptious dinner while watching the sun set over the blue Pacific Ocean.
