The Russian River provides a year-round fishery. Late Fall commences the Steelhead run, and continues through April. Next up is "Mighty" Shad, April through June. Summertime is key season for Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, and Carp. Access spots and fishing hole maps as well as regulation books can be obtained at any of the local tackle shops. If fishing in the sea better suits your taste, then head to any of the nearby beaches where you will find salmon, halibut, rock cod, ling cod, albacore tuna and others.
